Rob Broderick

For the past year, stand up comedian Rob Broderick has been delighting and amazing audiences with his music and comedy show. It is a heady combination of stand up comedy, mixed with improvised lyrics based on audience suggestions over guitar licks and folk rhythms. "8 Mile meets Flight of the Conchords" - Chortle.co.uk As a stand up comic that improvised his way into the final of 'So You Think You're Funny' in 2005, Rob is well used to delivering both scripted and off-the-cuff material. His 'music and comedy' combination began at the Brighton Fringe Festival 2008. During the festival Rob played to a packed house and was invited to perform at the awards ceremony of the festival at the Spiegel tent. The show was then performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where again it played to packed houses.

One of the most exciting comics on the circuit, Rob Broderick's explosive energy will illuminate the stage and raise the roof of any venue. This friendly, beguiling, quick-thinking, maverick can bring even the dullest room to life and have it buzzing and fizzing within seconds of taking to the stage. Audiences cannot help but become engaged and swept along in a wave of laughter with Rob at the helm.

You will find yourself immediately involved but feel totally safe as you watch a man create a hilarious set from nothing but the stimulus within the room and the creative explosions in his head.

QUOTES

Time Out May 09 - "stunningly talented"
Time Out April 09 - "Very funny, fresh and endlessly creative... A star-of-the-future"
Metro Newspaper - "Broderick's feverish and intensely funny imagination was hugely entertaining."
British Theatre Guide - "Rob Broderick comes up with perfect off-the-cuff punch lines. A comic of rare inventiveness."

David Whitney

A high energy mix of satire and filth. "His trajectory is perfect. He squeezes the laughter out of audiences. He is the squeeze person," Eddie Izzard.

"But whoever the 'real' David Whitney is, one thing is certain: that he's got a well-defined sense of comedy which - when delivered with the impassioned hard sell he gives to all his routine - guarantees laughs. There are certainly a genuine spirit of fun in his set," Chortle September 2007.

"You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him," Reg D. Hunter.David reached the final of the Hackney Empire Best New Act of The Year in 2007 and is now playing some of the most prestigious clubs in the uk including the Comedy Store and Jongleurs. David is also a core cast member of the BAFTA winning Fonejacker for Channel 4 and Hatrick

Jonathan Elston

Jonathan Started Gigging in September 2007 and has traveled all around the country on his quest for success. He won a gong show for Spikey Mike at his Derby Blessington Carriage venue and made the final of John Reed's new act competition. All the while lying to his parents how much money he's spent doing it.

"A young comic with incredible talent and a natural warmth. If he carries on like this his success is certain." Black Cat Comedy

"One of a new breed of comics who are going to shake things up, Jonathan Elston is already seriously good and he's still pretty new. Recommended." - Andrew O'neil

Sanderson Jones

Sanderson recently returned from the Melbourne Comedy Festival. His smart, satirical and surreal style won many admirers. "Might be an alternative comedy Messiah" Ben Norris.

David Trent

David Trent has singlehandedly failed to make any impression whatsoever on the UK comedy scene over the last two and a half years.

He has lost every major comedy competition in the first round apart from the 2008 North Essex comedian of the year competition where he was a finalist. David's progress in this competition was somewhat hindered by his decision to watch "The Orphanage" at the Duke Of York cinema in Brighton on the night of the final.

"You'll need more than that to win you know," A man from the audience, first round, North Essex Comedian Of The Year competition.

"I thought you were funny but then because nobody else was laughing I thought I'd better stop." A man from the audience, Mostly Comedy.

"First to take to the stage was David Trent - whose act proved as cringeworthy as his near namesake in 'The Office'." Neil Welch, Online reporter, Newbury Today.

Keith Platt

Widowed five year ago when my dear Sandra got hit by a shopping trolley in Morrisons car park. It knocked her under a delivery lorry and that was that. My view of life changed that day and I decided to get out onto the comedy circuit and "tell it like it is" as our american friends are fond of saying.

"Keith Platt produces a stream of bile, maons and spite masterfully transformed into gag after inventive laden gag on the British national identity and values. If you need a peg to hang the act on, and Keith would hate the comparison, he's sort of a reality tv, warts n all version of Victor Meldrew (and would slap Victor silly in a fight) but don't mention any of this to Keith as he just might tell you to eff off ya silly b#st#rd." - Gag Factory 2008
